Pig The Pug

Pug, a selfish, gluttonous, and spoiled character, constantly overlooks his best friend Trevor in his pursuit of having the most of everything. However, Pug’s greed inevitably leads to misfortune, teaching him a valuable lesson about sharing and caring. Students are captivated by the comical and heartwarming tales of Pug and Trevor.

In this initial unit, students will commence learning about classroom procedures.

During story time, they will learn the art of attentive listening and effective participation in class discussions.

The goals for this unit include introducing children to classroom procedures such as:

  • How to walk to the rug
  • Where to sit on the rug
  • How to sit on the rug (legs criss-cross apple sauce, hands in your lap, eyes looking, ears listening)
  • Voice levels
  • How to raise their hand and wait to be called on during class discussions
  • Start to describe parts of a book (front cover, back cover, pages, words, pictures)
  • Begin to identify Author/Illustrator and what those mean
  • How to handle books with care
